The fourth edition of the International Collage Exhibition has officially opened in Warsaw, celebrating both the diversity of contemporary collage and the 10th anniversary of Retroavangarda.
From 10 July to 23 August 2026, Galeria Dobra at the University of Warsaw Library (BUW) hosts one of the largest international collage exhibitions in Europe, bringing together 74 artists from 24 countries.

The exhibition presents outstanding examples of contemporary collage and explores the medium from artistic, educational, research and cultural perspectives. The project is entirely non-commercial, created to promote international artistic dialogue and contemporary collage.
The opening ceremony was attended by representatives of the University of Warsaw, the University of Warsaw Library, and members of the diplomatic corps.

Accompanying Publication
The exhibition is accompanied by the English-language book Modern Collage, a 240-page illustrated volume written by Dr. Anna Kłos. The publication presents the work of 50 internationally acclaimed contemporary collage artists and offers an in-depth overview of today’s global collage scene.
About the Author
Dr. Anna Kłos is an artist, curator and researcher who has been actively shaping the international collage community for more than two decades. Holding a PhD in Fine Arts with a dissertation devoted to Dada collage, she combines artistic practice with academic research and university teaching. As the founder of Retroavangarda, she has curated some of Europe’s largest international collage exhibitions, collaborating with artists and cultural institutions worldwide. Modern Collage is the result of years of research, curatorial experience and artistic practice, offering a unique perspective on one of the most dynamic fields of contemporary art.
